Roy’s Furniture is a family owned and operated retail furniture business that is located in the heart of the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. We first opened our doors in 1960, selling furniture, appliances and cans of paint in a small storefront on Lincoln Ave. It was a small startup business that soon outgrew its humble beginnings. In 1980, the second generation owners opened the new and larger Roy’s at 2455 N. Sheffield. It was here that we began selling high quality furniture at affordable prices, and how we came to be a retail staple in the Lincoln Park community. Roy’s grew to be a thriving business, and generations of families from the area have furnished their homes and their children’s homes at our store. 

After 32 amazing years in business at our Sheffield location, tragedy struck on May 29th, 2012. A large fire broke out in the back warehouse of our store, and within hours the entire store had burned to the ground. The magnitude of this event was overwhelming for the owners and employees that have worked at Roy’s for decades, as we watched 32 years of memories and a family legacy smolder in the aftermath. In the days and months following the fire, the support shown to us by our customers and the entire Lincoln Park community made us determined to rebuild from the ashes. It is that support and all of the kind words that are the reason we have rebuilt and returned stronger than ever.

The new and improved Roy’s Furniture returned to the Lincoln Park neighborhood on Labor Day Weekend, 2013. We are excited for a new beginning, and we hope to share it with everyone who has stood by us and helped us through this past year.
